I know we’ve already covered this episode seemingly ad nauseam but, as fate would have it, there is one more thing that must be discussed regarding the bottle deposit. So it’s a blink & you’ll miss it scene but it may have dire consequences for the rest of the Seinfeld universe as we know it.

In the scene, Mr. Wilhelm sits at home & we are made aware of the fact that he has some sort of memory issues for which he is taking medication. But what exactly does he have & what is he using to treat it? Well, that, my dear friends, is exactly what we’ll be exploring on today’s episode of Seinfeld declassified.

So I did some research & the two most common diseases linked to memory lapses & loss of awareness are Alzheimer’s & dementia. So based on what we know about each disease, it seems the one that most aligns with the symptoms he’s been manifesting is dementia. & as far as treating it, there are two well-renowned medications for this particular illness but only one that has received the full approval of the FDA: memantine. So to quote Mr. Wilhelm, there’s your answer.

So does anyone besides his wife know anything about this? Well, I think it’s safe to say at least George & Steinbrenner don’t know anything about it considering the ending of this episode. But I think it’s safe to say he didn’t actually contract this disease until after he got hired as he would have most likely disclosed his disability at that time. This would also explain how he so easily got brainwashed into that carpet-cleaning cult in a different episode of the series.

So that’s about all I had for you guys today but thank you so much for reading. But be sure to have a great weekend & I will see you back here next weekend for a brand episode of Seinfeld declassified. Until then, this is the x factor signing off.
