Hey, guys. Welcome to season four. So this season picks up where the last one left off as the gang (sans Elaine) heads to LA to appear on the tonight show as well as meet up with the k man who’s trying to get his ridiculous movie treatment get off the ground. The focal point of this week’s episode centers around the scene with the smog strangler as he argues with Jerry & George about the proper tip for a chambermaid.

For those not in the know, this is typically defined as the woman (or man) whose job it is to turn down the room at hotels. I believe Jerry suggested $1 a night while Tobias Lehigh Nagy (better known as the smog strangler) said it should be 5. Well, as it turns out, he was right. The average tip should be anywhere between $2 and $5. These are the recommendations coming directly from unite here, a union that represents workers in the hotel industry.

This is taking into account the fact that each chambermaid cleans 16 rooms a day on average and the work tends to be rather strenuous and monotonous. And especially during quarantine, these rooms require a deep clean so you want to err on the side of generosity. Your chambermaid will thank you later. And that’s pretty much all I have for you guys today but thank you so much for reading. Have a great weekend and I will see you back here next time for a brand new episode of Seinfeld declassified. Until then, this is the x factor signing off.
