Seinfeld Declassified Episode 57: would the serenity now actually work?
Hello, Newman. So the season continues with one of the most iconic episodes. As Jerry was trying to get in touch with his inner lewis black, frank was trying to soothe his ire with the now-iconic catchphrase, serenity now. But does that actually help to lower your anxiety & keep you levelheaded? Well, we sent our top researchers out into the field & this is what they were able to uncover.
So there have in fact been research trials which have uncovered evidence that yelling one’s frustrations can in fact relieve stress related to everyday life. So theoretically if he is supposed to yell serenity now, it could actually do a good job of bringing him catharsis. Of course, the man on the tape fails to specify whether he was supposed to shout it at the top of his lungs or not but seeing as it’s likely more cathartic than saying it calmly, I think it’s safe to say that’s what he was going for.
So in summation, yes, it actually can work for you; just make sure you’re not too close to anyone else’s eardrums when you yell it. So that’s about all I have for you guys today but thank you so much for reading. Have a great week, & I will see you back here soon for a brand new episode of Seinfeld Declassified. Until then, this is the x factor signing off.
