Hello, Newman. So the season continues with the little jerry, most notable for being the cockfighting episode. But one of the major subplots is Elaine dating Kurt, the guy who shaves his head for the “fun of it.” But as he tries growing it back in, he finds his head might not be the fertile soil it once was. So is there any truth to this in real life? Well, we put our best researchers on the case & here is what they uncovered.

In a nutshell, of course not. You see, hair grows from the follicle outward & it’s located far below the surface of the epidermis. So even if you shaved off every last bit of hair on your head, it would do absolutely nothing to damage the part of your body that stimulates hair growth. However, studies have found that pulling out your hair or waxing it could very well damage the follicles thereby eliminating the possibility of it growing back. Evidently, this does not apply to legs since, as I understand it, that’s a daily ritual with many females around the world. But shaving wouldn’t lead to baldness no matter how many times you do it.

Interestingly enough, JMH did in fact shave his head for the role & it grew back within just a few months. So that’s about all I have for you guys today but thank you so much for reading. Have a great weekend & I will see you back here next week for a brand new episode of Seinfeld Declassified. Until then, this is the x factor signing off.
