Admittedly, there’s not much substance to this subject but seeing as this is one of my favorite episodes (and I hope yours too), I just couldn’t let it slip by without discussing it. So let’s dive right in, shall we? So the main crux of the episode is George echoing the same vernacular as the reps from the astros after they come into town for talks on inter-league play. Naturally, this leads to a lot of hilarity and chaos but is that really how people talk when they work in the MLB?

Well, I did some digging & here’s what I found. We know later on that Mr. Willhelm is unfamiliar with this type of vernacular and the Astros are from Texas so most likely, this seems to be one of the many cultural deviations between the north and south. Of course, it did prove to be a bit difficult to research as, unless you know someone who works as a rep for an MLB team, it’s difficult to verify but I did my best for all you out there because I’m committed.

So I hope you appreciate it. But if anyone out there actually does work for an MLB team, I would love to get your take on this as the rest of us are just ignoramuses. But in any case, I think it’s safe to say it definitely varies depending on the team and of course your location. I would not surprised if it’s merely a regional quirk. So that’s about all I have for you guys today but thank you so much for reading. Have a great day, stay safe out there & I’ll see you back here tomorrow for a brand new episode of SD. Until then, this is the x factor signing off.
